The Texas Commissioned Security Officer Training Class, (Level III), is a THIRTY HOUR CLASS, and is required for all individuals desiring to work in an armed capacity in the security industry. The course will cover all Texas state rules and regulations in regards to licensing in Texas. You will be required to show proficiency with a handgun, as well as pass a written test provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety. You are required to qualify with a Handgun and Shotgun during the class. Your may bring your Handgun and Shotgun with 100 rounds of pistol ammunition and 10 shotgun shells ( 12 gauge – 00 Buck ) to the class. If you do not have a handgun or shotgun we can provide you with both and ammunition for an additional cost of $35.00. Additionally during this course, you will be certified in ASP tactical handcuffing techniques receiving a separate certificate. If you require fingerprinting at the end of the course, we will provide this service at no charge, but you will need to bring State certified fingerprint cards.

- Pen and Paper
- Ear Plugs
- Eye Protection
- Appropriate inclement weather clothing
- Comfortable clothing
- Duty Belt with Handcuffs if available
- Duty Pistol with 100 rounds of ammunition
- 12 Gauge Shotgun with 10 rounds of 00 – Buck

There is a minimum of 6 students needed for this class to begin. You will be notified if the class has been rescheduled due to a non-sufficient amount of attendees.
